A Tribute to A Super Dad of A Friend...

It was a bleak day for everyone who know Lan's super dad, whom passed away on the 4th July 2007. Well-known with his grayish beard, he always carries an unforgettable smile whenever he meets people, regardless of age, gender, even every walks of life. His sharp perception on things, people, just everything the surrounds, engulfs us are not to be the one characteristics to be missed from him.

As Lan's friend, I've met with his dad countless times, along with Timothy, Kai Peng, Kah Kee, Yih Fui and the rest of the classmates of 5 Berlian. He's a wonderful and gracious host whenever Hari Raya invades Tawau, and always cracking some good jokes and anecdotes. You can't find another great person like him anywhere around little town in Tawau, but you'll know where to find a person of great ardor and intellect.

Aside from that, Lan's dad was a responsible man, and he always executes his duties faithfully and lovingly. Being a caring and compassionate, the dad of 3 was also a strict man when it comes to achieving targets and goals. It is virtually impossible for me to forget the moment I saw a big whiteboard in the living room, with Lan's SPM GPS target scribbled on it. I chuckled to myself when Lan told me that it was his dad's idea. But the fruit of Lan's endeavour and his dad's 100% support, Lan surpassed his target with flying colours, 10 colours in all.

Man had always said, when there's a meeting, there's a parting. I'm sure this parting will be sorely missed by everyone, especially towards the dad of a great son. I, sincerely pray and wish, that His journey on the afterlife would be, a pleasant and peaceful one.
