Be with you...

Tingling my senses,
I felt your presence,
Even if it's just a shudder,
Of the branches of an apple tree.

Perking my ears,
I heard your footsteps,
Light, lithe, and gentle,
Strutting by the snowy beach.

Having you around,
Indeed I felt sanctuary,
Yet now you are away,
Casting me into the void.

Knowing you're near,
Yet powerless to hold you,
Desperate, Longing,
For your silhouette.

Didn't you know?
I've been waiting,
Waiting for the right time,
Waiting for the moment.

Sensing the distant you,
Seems unfathomable,
All I wanted for,
Is to be with you.
