Angels and Demons...

Watched Angels and Demons today...And here's my opinion on the movie...

Howard did make some good attempts at tweaking the storyline since most of the audience in cinemas would be, or will be, those who have read the novel written by Dan Brown at least once....I myself read it around 5 times...

One praise that I would want to voice out is the background music sung by a chorale, which I find quite suitable for each scenes played throughout the 2 hours of following the path created by the Illuminati...For example, the chorale accentuated the rise of the Illuminati against the Catholic church by repetition of the word 'Illuminati', a word that was meant to spell doom and terror to the people of the church...

However, I believe the choice of actors in portraying each characters in the novel is crucial to extend their reach to the audience. Vittoria was not really portrayed as a strong character as I hoped for..What happened to the lithe, well-tanned marine biologist-cum-yoga master? In the movie, she looked just like any other physicist (sorry, I'm not discriminating any occupations), having features that doesn't seem to be one full of determination....She looked rather dependent on the people surrounding her such as her 'colleague' and eventually Langdon....

But kudos for the choice of the camerlengo....Young, strong and determined, and yet aggressive and showing signs of immaturity in making decisions....

I wish I could throw in some more points on the movie....but I was a bit distracted? yeah...

Overall....It's a 2.5/5 movie...My verdict, it's just another movie.....
