Volleyball Anatomy...

Today was NYJC's big day...

Volleyball finals for both guys and girls' team...
Girls won the finals....Congrats team!!
The guys fought gallantly, despite losing to HCI boys 3-1....

Hmm....Was thinking about other things than just volleyball when I was cheering with my classmate Renyi just now...

When a team participates in a competition, not only the effort made by the team would pay off, we can never forget how supporters play a major role in securing victory in every matches...

My verdict is, support is important in life, no matter from who you receive it.

Case Study: Volleyball finals

1. It can be assume that all of the NYJCians do not know most of the volleyball players who were playing today, unless they are their classmates, friends, or just someone they knew upon hearing from others...However, under the college banner, NYJCians cheered on both the guys and girls team throughout the whole afternoon.
Point 1: Strangers may come across you and give you a lift, accept it!

2. There was a set where the girls were trailing as much as 8 points behind VJC team. NYJCians were 'relentless' in their chants of 'Nanyang! Nanyang!'and 'Fight On Nanyang Fight On!'...The girls overcome the odds to tie and eventually win the third set to claim the championship title...
Point 2: Even at the bleakest moment of time, continuous support is able to turn things around...

3. The volleyball team were...insane if you put it on layman's terms...But frankly speaking, they were very focused in the game...throwing their bodies across the court to defend a spike from the opposition, brushing off the injuries inflicted on their tired and battered bodies...Commitment is simply not a good enough word to praise them...
Point 3: Commitment towards a person or a duty only shows itself when you start to sacrifice yourself for greater good...

Overall analysis:
Mental strength is vital in overcoming challenges and problems...Even if one is bestowed with the strongest and healthiest body ever created by God...For it is the mind that controls the body and mighty enough to stretch the body to its limits...However, even the mightiest of bodies could not defy Hooke's Law, stretching the body beyond its limits is detrimental to the body itself, rendering it helpless in troubled waters...

In other words, a capable captain is able to steer a ship across treacherous waves, but not even a wrecked ship is able to cross a quiet ocean under a skillful captain...

I hope I could do more analysis on this case study, but I'm afraid that I could not because I had to leave the stadium early because of H3...anyway...I'm proud of the volleyball team today as they have showed their best effort against VJC and HCI...

Yes...Today was indeed a happy day...

I'm going to get my 7As for A levels...I will get my 7As for A levels...
