Today was indeed quiet, because a lot of us were still rushing to finish up our holiday homework; because there are no classes for today; and because more than half of the cohort are away to different secondary schools to issue out postcards to attract J1s-to-be to NYJC....
I liked the postcards a lot..especially the design... Apparently the college is serious about getting the right people into NYJC...The teachers even emphasised on what we should tell the O-level results recipients about our niche CCAs, why choose NYJC, from the scholars development programme to the overseas learning programmes...
However, I did not join the 432 students on an islandwide conquest...Instead, I chose to help out with whatever I can at the choir booth....yeah!!
Was feeling happy today with choir pals....
Had to rush 3 songs that NY choir are supposed to present on Open House Day...So far only covered two..but haven't really memorised the lyrics yet for Seasons of Love....Still got Change The World to cover....shall do that in the morning...Only You is nice!!
Shall sleep now....have to get up early to catch the school bus that is waiting outside the dining tent....
Note to self and all: Being smart is an advantage, but it can never outweigh determination as the vital formula to success....
